With several TV & film soundtrack contributions – Grey’s Anatomy, Sons Of Anarchy, Heartland & many more – under his belt.
In the 14 years of being a working musician, John Wort Hannam has released five albums. His winsome, lonesome and then some, acoustic roots music carries the torch of a vast songwriting tradition in the styles of John Prine, Louden Wainwright III, and Steve Earle but it is proudly Canadian.
It’s been a long, road – figuratively and literally – from quitting a teaching job on a southern Alberta First Nation’s reserve to building a Juno-nominated roots music career with performances at The Kennedy Centre, The Smithsonian, and Trafalgar Square.
