Raised in Victoria, BC Leeroy Stagger played in local bands until gaining attention from Hot Hot Heat and Carolyn Mark. He has since garnered an international fan base through relentless touring – Steve Earle, The Pixies, Los Lobos & others – both home and abroad. With several TV & film soundtrack contributions – Grey’s Anatomy, Sons Of Anarchy, Heartland & many more – under his belt.
In the 14 years of being a working musician, John Wort Hannam has released five albums. His winsome, lonesome and then some, acoustic roots music carries the torch of a vast songwriting tradition in the styles of John Prine, Louden Wainwright III, and Steve Earle but it is proudly Canadian.
It’s been a long, road – figuratively and literally – from quitting a teaching job on a southern Alberta First Nation’s reserve to building a Juno-nominated roots music career with performances at The Kennedy Centre, The Smithsonian, and Trafalgar Square.
